2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: 13 players report for first Black Stars training ahead of Ethiopia and South Africa games

Thirteen Black Stars players trained for the first time on Monday, 30 August 2021, as they step up preparations for their upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.

The players who reported include captain of the side, Andre Ayew who led the team which also had Mubarak Wakaso, Richard Attah, Jordan Ayew, Samuel Owusu, Baba Rahman and Jonathan Mensah present.

The others were youngster Abdul Fatawu Ishaaku, Daniel Barnieh, Emmanuel Gyasi, Ismail Ganiyu, and Richard Ofori.

The first training session was held at the Mac Dan Park in La, Accra saw head coach CK Akonnor supervising their activities.

The number of players in camp is expected to go up on Tuesday as some players were expected to fly in on Monday night.

Ghana will take Ethiopia in Ghana before they travel to play with South Africa in Johannesburg.
