The Sports Writer’s Association of Ghana, SWAG has nominated class One referee, Rustum Gameli Senorgbe for a Special and Meritorious Awards, at its 47th SWAG Awards Night scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023.
The 2022 Awards night which is set to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre will see the Ho based referee be honored for his fantastic performance in the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league.
Rustum, a Marketer was outstanding in his total of 19 matches involved, in the season under review in the Premier League.
Among matches Rustum has officiated include a 0-0 stalemate between Hearts and Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on February 20, 2022, a week 7 tie postponed from December 12, 2021.
In all, the Social Entrepreneur officiated 12 Premier league matches, 2 Mtn Fa cup matches and 1 division 1 match. He has been 4th official for 7 times in the premier league and once in the Fa Cup.

Adding his voice and commendation to the numerous praises of the consistent referee, President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah on his Sports Highlights show on GTV on Monday, June 20, 2022, adjudged Rustum as his Best Referee for the season without a shred of doubt.
The Development Enthusiast marked his 30th Premier league game this season with a 0-1 result between Olympics and Aduana Fc at the Sogakope WAFA Park, a week 9 fixture on December 20, 2022.
Other nominated for that Award category include Kingsley Owusu Achiaw of Bechem Utd, Reks Brobbey of Ghana’s fastest Human, Christine Ashley of Chess, Ashford Tettey Oku, a football Administrator, Danny List, a professional Golfer, as well as Tom Vernon of Right to Dream.
SWAG is an umbrella body of sports journalists and have been awarding deserving sports men and women since 1975.
