The Zimbabwe Men’s team are just replicating what the lady chevrons did 8 days ago at the 13th African Games, as they secured a final after a whipping of Kenya in the 2nd semifinal game at the Achimota Oval A on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The Chevrons with a bat in hand put to the board 196/6 after winning the toss but with a slow start by Rodney Mupfudza 14(12) and Tadiwanashe Marumani 9(17).

At the end of the power play, Zimbabwe were 53/2 and the anger for boundaries began.

Johnathan Campbell 42(27), Brian Bennett 27(29), captain Clive Madande 41(23)               and finally Tashinga Musekiwa 39*(10) were on a tour of boundaries, as they ensured the total score.

Collins Obuya 52(29) went on an ambition to hold on to achieve the score but lost his wicket on the 11.5 over from the delivery of Macheka. The fall of wickets was quick and swift, as the likes of Owen Muzondo (4-0-19-4) and Kudakwashe Macheka (3.3-0-39- 3) took Kenya all out for 126 in 19.3 overs.
