Alpha Cricket Club exhibits consistency in Ghana Cricket T20 Division One league

Many might be wondering the emergence and consistency of Alpha Cricket Club on the ongoing Ghana cricket Association Division One League.

With sponsorship from Golden Dragon Casino-Osu, Tyretrendz, Binatone, and Indomie, Alpha Cricket Club has continued to excel on the pitch, giving all their best performances to defeat the likes of MMG, Swami Indians and recently GT CC.

Their first match, played on December 15 against MMG saw them win by 27 runs, while Isaac Otuafo Kwaku Aboagye won the Player of the match accolade. Isaac, took 3 wickets, gave away 18 runs in 4 overs. MMG managed 103/9, after Alpha had scored 130/9.

In that week 3 encounter, Akash Chaudhary and Bharani Kumar recorded figures 4.0-0-11-2 and 4.0-0-26-2 respectively. Frank Baaleri and Bharani Kumar gave their best in the batting performance, scoring 39(33) and 28(29) accordingly.

Their second match, played in week 6 was a 55 runs victory against Swami Indians. Alpha scored 158/7 and limited Swami to 103/9. Bharani Kumar, became the Hero of the day with figures 4.0-0-18-2 and performance 46*(30). Halim K was impressive with 36(31) and Judah S. delivered these figures as well 2.0-0-13-2.

It was week 7, a Sunday, January 19 morning on Oval A and Alpha Cricket Club recorded another victory. They beat GT CC by 7 wickets after 94/10 in 19.4 overs and 96/3 in 14.2 overs.

Michael Aboagye scored 35*(25) and provided a wonderful partnership to Bharani. Isaac Aboagye also recorded 4.0-1-12-3 while Judah S. magically delivered 1.4-0-3-2.

Bharani Kumar also recorded his second Player of the match accolade, as the opponents even applaud his brilliant performances. Bharani scored 44 runs, off 45 balls not out and took 4.0-0-21-3.

The likes David Ankrah, Vivek Sood, and captain Simon Ateak are players who are all inspired by these sponsors to give off their best.

In the Leaderboard, Alpha has Bharani Kumar 2nd on the batting chat with 118 runs from 3 innings, behind GT CC’s James Vifah with 135 runs from 4 innings. Bharani has an average of 118 and a strike rate of 113.46.

In the bowling, Isaac Aboagye is 5th with 7 wickets from 3 innings and an economy rate of 4.00 and average of 6.86. Bharani follows at 6th with 7 wickets from 3 innings and an economy rate of 5.42 and average of 9.29.

Alpha has scored a total of 384 runs, taken 28 wickets, conceded 300 runs and lost 19 wickets in 3 matches.

Alpha CC, hopes to continue their unbeaten run in the 8-Club Qualifier B on Sunday, January 26, 2025, when they face Salt n Pepper in the morning.

It is going to be a top of the table clash, as Salt n Pepper themselves are unbeaten in 3 matches and sit top of the table with 6 points and +3.0 NRR, while Alpha CC lie 2nd with 6 points and +2.0 NRR.

One can not take their eyes off Alpha when they play the game of Cricket. They make Cricket look more exciting and fun to participate. More investment in such a club means, a better and improved performance.
