The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, commissioned electrification projects at three communities in the area, namely Kyereyaase, Nyamebekyere, and Apuoyam, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

The project, which is the first of its kind in the communities, will make sure that residents have access to electricity and act as a hub for expansion into other nearby areas.

This is in line with the government’s plans to improve electricity access to all rural communities in the Ashanti region and the country at large.

Speaking at a colourful and well-attended event, Hon. Anhwere thanked the Almighty God, the chiefs and people of the area for their patience while waiting for this long-awaited and mouth-watering historic project.

He called on the good people of the areas to keep faith in the NPP as has been reflected in their voting patterns, because more developmental projects have been earmarked to be undertaken in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency and Ghana as a whole.

“We are grateful toGod for what we are witnessing today. We have waited a long time, but by God’s grace it has become a reality. It is good for every community to get electricity as it would improve socio-economic activity in the area. Our children will also make use of it in their academic activities, market women and every one.

“I urge you all gathered here to have faith in the NPP as more developmental projects are in the pipeline for these communities and those around them and the country at large.”

On behalf of the people, Nana Baffour Gyebi, Chief of Kyereyaase, expressed his profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament, Munipal Chief Executive, Amoah Awuku, the contractor, and the Electricity Company of Ghana boss.
