betPawa Premier League: Rustum Senorgbe honors his 35th Premier league game with Medeama vs Karela derby

Most talked about class One Referee, Rustum Gameli Senorgbe will be officiating his 35th Premier league match at the Tarkwa Akoon Park, where Medeama Sc will host Karela United in a match day 26 encounter of the betPawa league.


The Ho based referee will be visiting Tarkwa for the first time this season as he was centre at the same venue last season when Medeama beat Aduana Fc by 1-0 in week 10 on December 26, 2021; his 18th premier league game since 2019.


In the 2020/2021 season, the Marketer was in action in Medeama’s 1-0 win over Accra Hearts of Oak on February 4, 2021, a week 12 tie, which was Rustum’s 8th premier league game.


He consequently officiated his 13th game at the same venue on July 4, 2021, where Medeama beat Elmina Sharks by 3-2, in a week 32 fixture.


Rustum, a tactful referee will be assisted on the lines by Gabriel Boateng and David Awuley Addico, with Matthew Ayisu as 4th Official in the western derby. Match Commissioner is Eugene Nii Addo Akornor.

Medeama Sc currently lies 3rd on the table with 41 points, 3 away from the top, whereas Karela United occupy the 10th spot with 32 points.


Medeama picked a draw (1-1) at the CAM Park in the first leg encounter and have lost only once to Karela (2020/21 season), while the mauves and yellow have 2 wins advantage and 2 draws in their last 5 meetings against Karela United.


A great derby is expected with an equally tactful officiating, with the match kicking off at 3pm.
