It is level against the number of games played now at the ongoing West Africa Trophy in Lagos, for the Senior national men’s cricket team (3 wins, 3 loses), after their 82 runs defeat to host Nigeria on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Nigeria knew Ghana loves to chase and so after winning toss, opted to bat first.

With a great partnership between Runsewe Sulaimon 80(62) and Daniel Ajekun 33(38) from the beginning, the yellow greens scored 142/6, as the fall of wickets came a bit late for Ghana. At 10 Overs, Nigeria had 51 runs with no wicket down.

Aqeel Israr got 2 of the wickets, while Rexford Bakum also got 2, which came in 1 over.

Ghana started the second innings well but could not build well a partnership like Nigeria did in the first innings. Rexford Bakum 6(16) was sacrificed on the 4.2 over and later James Vifah 16 (12) also fell.
