Ghana, who after winning toss elected to field first, pushed hard to restrict Sierra Leone, getting their captain George Ngegba on the second ball thought the magical delivery of James Vifah.
Sierra Leone, who scored some good boundary runs managed 95/9 with a run rate of 4.75.
Ghana needed 96 runs in 17.2 overs, sacrificing 7 wickets to win.
Obed Harvey grabbed the Player of the Match Accolade plus $50.00, as he took 4-0-14-3 in the first innings with an economy rate of 3.50.
Ghana continues their quest to gathering enough points for themselves in the 4-nation West Africa Trophy as they come face to face with Rwanda on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 2pm.
Earlier today, host Nigeria Opened the tournament with a 54 Runs victory over Rwanda after 127/8 and 73/10 in 18.2 results.
The West Africa Trophy will see a triple round robin format before semis, 3rd place and finals.
