Desmond Awuah has brought some new urgency to the frontline of Akosombo Kings Palace Fc since his return from Kotoku Royals.
The prolific right winger netted his second goal of the season as Kings Palace posted a 2-1 win over Na God Fc in their match day 6 encounter at the Akotex Park on Sunday, October 10, 2024.
The pride of Akwamu lads, who were looking for their second win to boost their position on the Zone 3 table found the back of the net 5 minutes from kick off through Alex Fegesen Osei.
Na God drew parity on the 33’ with a goal from Mohammed Nikoi but before they could settle, Desmond Awuah slotted home a header from first pole on the 35’, with an assist from Emmanuel Arthur that secured Kings Palace the much-needed victory.
Awuah, also known as ‘Pages’, did not only ensure his goal grabbed the win for Kings Palace, but his performance for the 68 minutes he played, won him the Player of the Match accolade.
He however dedicated his goal to his mother, Comfort Ofori, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Pages, was the first player to score a hat trick for Kings Palace and the only player to have scored 2 hat tricks for the pride of Akwamu lads.
Desmond, who scored his first goal, a minute after coming on as a sub in Kings Palace 4-1 thrashing of Akatsi All Stars on matchday 2 has so far played 188 minutes in 4 matches and scored 2 goals and an MVP.
Kings Palace Fc have moved up to the 9th position with 7 points on the Zone 3 league log from 13th with 4.
