E.P University College to Charter before August 2024 – Prof. Bakah assures

President of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) – Ho, Professor Edem Kwasi Bakah on Saturday July 23, 2022 has assured all stakeholders, that the Institution will Charter before August 2024.

Delivering his Speech at the colourful 13th graduation ceremony held at the Walter Komla Blege Assembly Hall Complex, Prof. Bakah says the university college will avoid closure by 2024 as management is working hard to strengthen governance and administrative structures.

He said “like other private universities in Ghana, is required by law to obtain a Presidential Charter by the end of August, 2024 to avoid closure. As part of the preparation towards the Charter, we are working hard to strengthen our governance and administration structures put in place the requisite policies and review existing ones to be in line with best practices.”

He used the platform to appeal to the Leadership of the EP Church Ghana (EPCG), well meaning individuals and organisation to come to the aid of the University College through the provision of the requisite infrastructure and working tools such as laboratories, office equipment and other relevant teaching and learning materials to ease the burden of members of staff and Students.

Prof. Edem Kwasi Bakah is the 3rd President of the premier University, and since assuming office on February 1, 2021 is repositioning the institution towards great feats.

EPUC was established in 2008 by the E.P Church Ghana to bring university education to the doorstep of the people of the Volta region, Ghana and the world.
