E. P. University ushers in 93 January Admitted Students

The Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC)- Ho on Friday,  March 24, 2023 matriculated 93 freshmen and women into the premier university in a short ceremony at its Ho Kpodzi sub-campus.

The 16th matriculation ceremony witnessed jolly freshmen and women, who danced with excitement to express delight, having been admitted to EPUC.

With gladness, having to address the matriculants, the acting President of EPUC, Dr. Tsatsu Adogla-Bessa  advised them to work hard and keep faith in God.

“Always remember that your paramount objective of enrolling in EPUC is to study, study, and obtain your certificates. Never lose sight of this. Always remember that, among others, you need the virtues of self-discipline, diligence, perseverance, obedience and faith to reach your goal. Always remember, and be guided by, the Core Values of EPUC, which are Truth, Honesty, Hard work, Justice, Discipline and Togetherness. Always remember to maintain your equanimity, even in the face of difficulties, disappointments and adversities.”

“Always remember that the doors of the University College Management are open 24/7, to enable you to share your challenges with Management, and toe the path of dialogue towards solutions and resolutions. Always remember to avoid relying on rumors, gossip and speculations, and constantly seek the truth in any given situation. Above all, always remember your God and keep faith with Him!” He added.

The 93 January admitted students for the 2022/23 academic year include:  57 students for level 100, 14 students for level 200 and 14 students for level 300, pursuing degrees, with 8 diploma students.

With each program having at least a student, The school of Agriculture and Environmental Science had (19) students, School of Arts and Social Sciences (23), with the School of Business topping it up with (57) students.

Mr. Fred Prika who delivered a speech on behalf of all matriculants, appreciated the schools management while urging his colleagues not to be distracted but focus on attaining their main goal.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the University for providing equipment and facilities to enhance our education. The online platforms, used in many of our operations among others which in my view with no doubt, is greatly helping in the teaching and learning process”.

“ Fellow matriculates, our primary aim  as students, you would agree, is to study and make use of this opportunity. What is expected of us therefore is to stick to our books and avoid acts that would make us divert from our main aim. I would like to charge you, fellow matriculants, to aspire to realise your visions, to meet your goal of learning and endeavour to make positive impact on your communities and the society at large.” He inferred.

The ceremony had in attendance, Dr Tsatsu Adogla-Bessa, the Ag. President of EPUC, Mr George Kwaku Debrie (Togbe Dogbeda V), Registrar, Mr Jonathan Komla Atsu Tachie, Finance Officer, and Mr Seth Gawuga, Ag Liberian.

Dean, School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Prof Kenneth Nyalemegbe, Dean, School of Business, Rev. Dr Israel Kofi Nyarko, Ag. Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences, Mrs Ayaakor Dela Enuameh-Agbolosoo, Dean, Students’ Affairs, Ms Vivian Akoto, Ag. Quality, Mr Victor Kamasah, Assistant Registrar, Academic Affairs, Ms Bridgette E. Nuhoho, Junior Assistant Registrar, Admissions, Mr Peter Atseku, were all in attendance.

EPUC was established in 2008 by the E.P Church, Ghana to bring university education to the doorstep of the people of the Volta region, Ghana and the world.
