Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has agreed on personal terms with Division One League side Nsoatreman FC and looks set to pen down a one-year loan deal with them, TrueNewsGhana.com can report.
The second-tier outfit had a slow start to the 2020/21 Division One League but improved after Ghana’s Labour and Employment Minister, Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah purchased the club mid-season.
They believe that the capture of the Black Meteors shot-stopper will bring stability in their goalkeeping department as they hope to secure qualification to the Ghana Premier League next season.
TrueNewsGhana.com can report that negotiations are far advanced and the former Ghana U-17 goalie is expected to sign the dotted lines in the coming days.
“We are preparing very well for the upcoming season because we have to qualify to play in the Ghana Premier League next season, ” a source told TrueNewsGhana.com.
“Danlad Ibrahim is joining us too in a one-year loan deal. It’s left with a few things which we are working on, ” the source revealed.
Asante Kotoko farmed out Danlad Ibrahim to city rivals King Faisal FC for the second round of the 2020/21 season where he aided them to avoid relegation with some superlative performances.
The 18-year-old – who won the Golden Glove award as well as the 2021 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations title with the Black Satellites – desperately needs playing time away from Kotoko.
He is the last in the pecking order of Kotoko’s four goalkeepers – behind Razak Abalora, Felix Annan and Kwame Baah.
