EXCLUSIVE: Welbeck Takyi agrees personal terms with Nsoatreman FC

Bofoakwa Tano talisman, Welbeck Takyi is on the verge of joining Division One League side Nsoatreman FC in the ongoing transfer window after agreeing on personal terms with them, Truenewsghana.com can exclusively report.

According to a reliable source close to the player, Takyi will sign a three-year contract after a fruitful talk with the President of Nsoatreman FC on Tuesday.

Our outfit can also confirm that negotiations between the two Bono clubs – Bofoakwa Tano and Nsoatreman FC – are underway after everything per the player’s demand was agreed.

Takyi, 21, had an outstanding season in the 2020/21 Division One League with Tano Bofoakwa where he assisted the club placed second in Zone 1 after missing out on qualification to top-flight football on the final day losing 1-0 to rivals Brong Ahafo United.

The young attacker netted 14 and made 6 assists in 27 games he featured for his side.

The lanky forward has also been on the radar of top clubs from Europe and the
Ghana Premier League.

With the vision of qualifying to Ghana’s top flight in the upcoming season, the club has already captured Adu Solomon, an offensive midfielder from Berekum Arsenal, Awuah Amoah Stephen, also a midfielder from BA United, right-back Amankwah Frank from Kato Freedom Fighters, and strikers – Owusu Francis and Shaibu Yakubu from Unity FC and Kato Freedom Fighters respectively.

Nsoatreman FC finished 12th in the 2020/21 Division One League with 33 points from 30 matches.
