Astute Sports Journalist and Lawyer, Moses Foh-Amoaning believes that the Black Stars can win the upcoming 2021 African Cup of Nations tournament with the right selection of players and adequate preparation.
The four-time African champions have not been able to clinch the Nations Cup since winning the last one in 1982. And the pressure is on the team to end the drought ahead of the next edition in Cameroon early next year.
Ghana were drawn alongside Morocco, Gabon and Comoros Island in Group C in the draw held last week Tuesday.
The former Ghana Boxing Authority President feels something good will happen to Ghana football next year.
“Next year 2022 will be 40 years since Ghana last won the AFCON and I feel something good will happen to Ghana football, ” Foh-Amoaning told Nhyira FM in an interview.
“If we select the right players, good preparation and with the right mental attitude of our guys, Ghana can win the AFCON.”
Ghana has played in three finals since they defeated host nation Libya to win the tournament in 1982.They lost in 1992, 2010 and 2015.
