Gideon Okyere Darko wins NPP Offinso North Youth Organizer contest

Gideon Okyere Darko has won the Youth Organizer contest of the Offinso North New Patriotic Party’s constituency elections held on Thursday.

The New Patriotic Party on Thursday, April 28, 2022 commenced the all-important exercise of electing officers to steer the affairs of the party in the various constituencies across the country.

Okyere Darko affectionately known as Vanderwal polled 387 as against the 238 of his only contender, Prince Amponsah.

Speaking after the election, Okyere Darko who is a professional teacher expressed his excitement and urged all party members to be united ahead of the 2024 elections as they strive to ‘break the 8’.

“I’m most grateful to God and to you, for the level of love and support, shown to my team and I. I’m proud to have you “at my back”. I pray for wisdom to make the youth agenda a reality.2024 is already won. Together, let’s do this.”

He graduated from the University of Valley View where he pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, having completed Wesley College of Education with Diploma in Basic Education (Science and Mathematics).

He had his secondary school education at Dwamena Akenten SHS in Offinso.

Albert Sefa Boampong was elected the Chairman, while Richard Boateng got the nod to be the Secretary.
