The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Ladies Hockey team ensured they went 3 wins after 3 matches in the ongoing Sapholda Hockey league, played at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium on Saturday, June 7, 2025 after going past Police Ladies by 2-0.
GRA, who have conceded only a goal in all 3 outings, were in full gear with most of their notable players back in action for them. After a barren first quarter, GRA found the back of the net through a penalty corner scored by Mavis Berko, 7 minutes to wrap up the 2nd quarter.
Police, who were yet to concede this season, fought back to equalize but their tactical approach in breaking from defense kept failing as GRA held a strong midfield and defense. While GRA searched for a cushion and kept loading, Police remained resolute at the back and broke away, yet could not multiply quickly up front to create chances, as the young GRA ladies outrun them.
Police got a gifted pass in defense from Mercy Ackon but goalkeeper Matilda Addison kept GRA’s lead intact to end a barren 3rd quarter.
Police kept on soaking the pressure from GRA but conceded another penalty corner goal 6 minutes to wrap it all up from the stick of Ernestina Coffie. Just before the game ended, a long strike by Police to pull one back found the back of the post but ball did not touch any stick.
The 2-0 win for GRA kept them top of the table with 9 points, while Police drop to 3rd with 6 points.

2 minutes into the last quarter, Reformers imprisoned Legonknights with a beautiful penalty corner from the stick of Benedicta Adjei, putting the ladies from Legon in a startled mood.
