Editor of 24hourssports.com Manasseh Ned says, Home Stars Fc still need experienced and committed technical abilities for their division 1 qualification in the 2021/2022 division 2 league season.

Ho based Home Stars Fc on Sunday, September 12, 20201 lost the finals of the division 2 middle league, to Akatsi all Stars via a 3-1 penalty shootout; a result that got over thousand fans in Ho devastated.

Ahead of their campaign this season, the yellow and blues hired Christian Chibueze as Head Coach, who took them to the finals, having lost 1 match, won 9 and drew 3 before the finals.

Manasseh, who is also the Public Relations officer of the Ho Municipal Football Association in a post-match interview with Ex TV believes, Home Stars had their destiny in their own hands.

“I will say It is a shock not to have seen Home Stars qualify. Everybody is surprised, because we all thought Home Stars would qualify. Ho has missed division 1 league and off course we believed that this is the time for Home Stars. I believe that Home Stars had their own destiny in their hands, because they had couple of chances to have scored but wasted them. I believe that Home Stars will go back and come back better next season.

“They need to beef up in finance and in terms of technical abilities. Although we have Coach Mourinho, I believe they still need a knowledgeable experience, committed people on board. Afe lotto is supporting and as such, they have to also beef up the technical handlers and other areas. They need a lot of quality players as well. Starting Roland at the bench also meant they were not really having a wining mentality. I believe they started losing the game right from the bench.” He concluded.

However, reports are rife, that the management of Home Stars Fc, are still looking for a possibility to still play in the national division one league in the 2021/2022 season after a press briefing held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, with the Ho Sports Stadium to be their home venue.

It is the second time that Home Stars have come close to qualification after rivals, Ho based Dynamo Fc denied them in 2016.
