Head Coach of the Senior national Men’s team, the Black Stars, Otto Addo says he cannot promise Ghanaians a win against Sudan in the return fixture of the Afcon 2025 Qualifiers in Libya.
Ghana is yet to win a game in the Afcon 2025 qualifiers after picking 2 points from a possible 9. The Black Stars had a good game against Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, 2024 but failed to find the back of the net.
Otto Addo, whose second coming as Head Coach as seen Ghana win 2 matches, drew 3 and won 2 says they will try their best.
“This assurance that everybody is talking about is, why, for what? You know, because this is football, and I cannot even assure. Maybe God will take me tomorrow and I am gone. What can I assure? We will try our best and I know, that at the end, we will be rewarded. It is still in our own hands to win the next game and it is difficult, but we will do it.”
At a post-match conference, after Ghana drew 0-0 with Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium last Thursday, Otto Addo says he is not interested in records but only want to win the next match.
“I am not interested in records or whatsoever, I want to win the next game, that’s all. All these statistics and this and that, what can I do? We can only look forward to the next match and try to score, that’s all. We will try as much as today and it will be rewarded.”
Ghana sits 3rd in Group F of the Qualifiers with 2 points, whiles Angola and Sudan occupy the first 2 spots with 9 and 4 points respectively after 3 matches.
A win for the Black Stars on Tuesday, will boost the chances of qualifying to Morocco 2025 AFCON.
