Municipal Chief Executive officer of the Offinso South constituency, Hon. Solomon Kesseh has fumed over alleged bribery allegations levelled against him.
Some denizens of Offinso has claimed that, the MCE bribed a concerned youth group in Offinso to stop a demonstration which they planned over a poor road network in the municipality.
Speaking to Truenewsghana.com, Hon. Solomon Kesseh said: “I have nowhere been found bribing conveners of the demonstration so that reprehension should be blown out because they are all false accusations”
The demonstration was set to take off in the principal streets of Offinso today, 28th August, 2021.
The accused venal, who doubles as Offinso South Constituency NDC organizer and Assemblymember for Naama kwakuta, Mr. Wiafe Mohamed also vowed that, those allegations on him are full of fallacies and doesn’t have any vivid evidence.
“I am ready to sue some people and some radio stations here over defamation of character”.
He further explained the reasons of the cancelled demonstration.
“Yes, we decided to take to the streets today but the Offinso police command didn’t give us the permit to embark on the demonstration for which we perfectly agree with them. Look, we called off the demonstration because the MCE started working on the roads”
He, therefore, used the opportunity to call for calm over the situation.
