Departing Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie says he has huge ambitions on returning to the football club soon.
The combative central midfielder will be heading out on loan after being ruled out of favour under new gaffer Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Sarkodie made 13 league appearances in his debut season with the Porcupine Warriors after joining from Division One side Nkorazna Warriors
Speaking after being made available for loan in the upcoming campaign, the 25-year-old, who was limited by injuries last term, says he will return to the Porcupines soon to continue his dreams at the club.
Sarkodie told Kumasi-based Pure FM:
“I’m not done at Asante Kotoko. What I want to achieve at the club is huge and going on loan is a chance to get myself back into the first team soon.
“I have had discussions with the coach and the team manager encouraged me as well. I will return a better player and play for Kotoko again.”
Sarkodie remained tight-lipped on his next move but assured fans to expect a good decision concerning his loan plans.
“Well I have interest from some clubs and I will make a final decision soon. Let’s remain patient and focus on the best club for myself and for Kotoko.”
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League begins October 29 and Footy-Ghana.com sources say the midfielder has gained interest from King Faisal, Bibiani Gold Stars and Dreams FC.
