Captain of Kings Palace Fc, Roland Twumasi Ashia was adjudged player of the match in their 1-0 loss at home to Okwawu United on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The Matchday 4 encounter of the Access Bank Division One Zone 3 tie, saw Roland exhibit, not only exceptional leadership skills for his team, but also was instrumental in the entire game, although they lost the eastern regional derby.

Twumasi, together with Elvis Quainoo and Issaka Junior Kurubil ensured Kings Palace dominate the game from the blast of the whistle as he commanded the midfield, distributing passes and dispossessing the Asaase Abban lads.

Kings Palace could not however turn their dominance and possession of the ball into goals, as they wasted clear cut chances and were punished on the 80’ when Sampson Odametten’s curler outside the box (which was on target) broke the dead lock, as goalkeeper Awudu Osman Dim, could not make a first-time grab.

Twumasi has played 3 out of the 4 matches for Kings Palace this season and lasted 243 minutes, with 2 matches’ throttle.
