Kings Palace CEO Gideon Fosu elected unto GFA Exco

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kings Palace Fc, Gideon Fosu has been elected unto the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at its Election held at Tamale on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

Gideon who went into the contest with 4 other competent candidates garnered 29 votes, three less than Mark Addo (32) to make the 3 slots for the Division One Clubs positions on the Executive Committee of GFA.

It was his second time of contesting, as he narrowly lost in the 2019 election but was appointed unto the Finance Committee of the Ghana Football Association as a member to bring on his expertise as a Banker.

Eugene Nobel Nii Amon was the 3rd person to join Mark Addo and Gideon Fosu unto the Exco from Division One, in the Election that saw President Kurt Okraku re-elected with 117 Yes votes, 1 abstain and 2 No. The Election also had Gifty Oware Aboagye elected with all 20 Women Clubs endorsing her for Exco, while Randy Abbey, Osei Bonsu, Frederick Acheampong, Oduro Sarfo and former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah made the 5 reps for the Premier league clubs.

Gideon’s effective administration led Kings Palace to a 4th place in the Access Bank Division One League, Zone 3 with 45 points.

Kings Palace Fc, birthed in 2002 in Akosombo has been in the Division One league since 2016, after an emphatic qualification from the Eastern Region Division 2 league.
