Kobina Amissah joins FC Samartex 1996 as new head coach

Division One League side, FC Samartex 1996 have announced the appointment of Kobina Amissah as the new head coach.

The appointment was necessary following the departure of Bismark Kobby Mensah and the club’s intention of qualifying for top-flight football in the upcoming 2021/22 season.

Amissah, holds the record of guiding four different clubs to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League with three of them joining from the Zone Two

He guided Berekum Chelsea to qualify in 2008, Sekondi Hasaacas in 2011, Elmina Sharks in 2015 and Bibiani Gold Stars in 2021.

The experienced tactician recently ended his three-year stay with Bibiani God Stars after qualifying them to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

As part of the club’s plans to book qualifications to the Premier League, they have appointed former Asante Kotoko management member Edmund Ackah as the new General Manager.
