Eight (8) Cricket Clubs are set to battle for the Kodak Paints’ sponsored World Oceans Day Soft Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Dzorwulu Astro Turf.
The 5-over tournament is to only 5 male players, 1 female and a U-14 player per a team of 7.
With 2 groups of four (4) and 2 to qualify to straight semis, Kaneshie Knight Riders will lock horns with DPS Plastic Tamil Pasanga, Salt n Pepper and Devnik in Group A, while Evolve will square it off with MMG, Gujarat Tridents and Platinum in Group B.
It expects to be more interesting, as one of the modifications is for each of either the younger player or the female player to bowl 1 over for every match for a team. Also, either the younger player or the female player must bat after a team losses 2 wickets.
While there is no LBW for the one-day tournament, throw bowling is only allowed for the younger and female players. have 1 lady player per team, with a player eligible to bowl just 1 over.
