Kumasi Cricket Bash Season 2 set to Electrify the whole Region this Weekend

Organisers of the Kumasi Cricket Bash has set August 23 and 24 for thrills and battle for supremacy, at the Hill Top School Astro Turf in Kumasi, after setting the tone for season 2 with a player auction in July.

A total number of 10 clubs will be hitting boundaries and taking wickets to get their hands on the coveted trophy and whooping cash prize of GH₵10,000.00 for the 2-day exhibition of classic 5-over modified cricket tournament.

Making Season 2 even bigger and better, include sponsors like Melcom, Capzol Lubricant, GTB Pharma, Steel Grape, JK Paper and Voltic. Others are ETG, Orbit Cargo Management, Mosam Bar & Restaurant, SMJ and Indian Strikers Ghana.

Jay Ambe, defending champions of season one, are paired with finalist Mosam Masters, Fighters Squad, Tamil Pasanga and Telugu Warriors in Group A. In group B however, Knight Riders, Trimax Titans, Punjab Panthers Rajasthan Tigers and Mumbaikar Smashers will square in off.

With 26 matches in total and 5 eliminators, each team is gathering strategies to move through the prelims, secure a respectable position in their respective groups for a final berth.

Season one gave everything cricket offers and more, with a tough final between Mosam Masters and Jay Ambe, who took the game to a super over in March 31, 2025.

The Auction on July 31, gave all teams the feeling of a grand 2-day of surprises, as many players will be making their debut.

Also, up for grabs are GH₵8,000.00 and trophy for runner up and GH₵5,000.00 and trophy for 3rd place team.

While all Player of the matches will receive special accolades, there will be even bigger accolades for best batter, best bowler, best fielder and then overall player of the tournament accolade.
