Medeama SC maestro Rashid Nortey has donated some items worth thousands of cedis to the Good Shepherd Orphanage at Odupong Ofaakor Bohye Asaseso in the Central Region.
Nortey also added an amount of GHS 1000.00 to the items he presented as his kind gesture was part of Nortey’s seasonal gesture to support the less privileged in society.
Items presented to the orphanage home included cartons of water, toiletries, bags of rice and oil, assorted soft drinks, etc.
Nortey, 25, was instrumental for the Mauve and Yellows in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League as they finished 5th on the league log. They also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
He featured in 29 matches for Medeama, scoring 2 goals and 4 assists in the Ghanaian top-flight.
The highly-rated midfielder also made his debut for the Ghana national team in March 2021 against Uzbekistan.
He also featured for the Black Stars in an international friendly against Morocco on 8 June 2021.
