Medeama name Ignatius Osei-Fosu as Preko successor

Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama SC have employed Ignatius Osei-Fosu as new head coach, the club has announced.

The young trainer, who holds a Caf Lice e A Certificate – comes in to replace Yaw Preko whose half-a-season deal with the theTarkwa-based club was not extended.

The 35-year-old has penned down a three year contract with the Mauve and Yellows – beginning the upcoming 2021/22 campaign through to the end of the 2023/24 season.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ignatius Kwame Osei-Fosu as our new Head Coach on a three-year deal,” the club announced via their socials.

Ignatius Osei-Fosu guided Eleven Wonders to escape relegation from the Ghana Premier League in the 2020/21 season as he steered affairs of the club for almost two years.

The former Asante Kotoko scout also previously worked as an assistant and interim coach at Liberty Professionals.

Os -Fosu joins his new employers with Charles Anokye Frimpong as his assistant.

Anokye Frimpong has been the head coach of Women Premier League side Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies FC and also a Sports Tutor at Prempeh College.
