Ghana Premier League newcomers, Bibiani Gold Stars FC have acquired the services of Michael Osei as the new head coach, according to Oyerepa FM.
Gold Stars are without a substantive trainer following the expiration of coach Kobina Amisssh’s contract after guiding the side to the Ghanaian top-flight for the first time in history.
The Kumasi-based radio station report that the ex-Asante Kotoko and Liberty Professionals gaffer, Michael Osei, has penned down a three-year deal.
Osei recently resigned as head coach of Division One League side Star Madrid where he assisted them to avoid relegation in zone two.
The 49-year-old – who held his first training on Friday according to the report – is expected to use his enormous experience to help Gold Stars stay at the top.
It would mark Osei’s return to top-flight football after he was shown the exit door by Kotoko in 2017.
