One of Ghana’s most consistent referees, Moro Iddrisu, has been appointed to take charge of the Ghana Premier League match day four clash between Hohoe United and Karela United at the Hohoe Stadium on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

The Ashanti Region CAF Instructor will be making his first center appearance of the 2025/26 league season, after serving as fourth official in the league opener on September 14, where Karela United edged Aduana FC 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

For Hohoe United, the encounter presents an opportunity to secure their maiden Premier League win after two draws and a loss in their debut campaign. Meanwhile, Karela United, sitting second on the table with seven points, will be eager to extend their unbeaten run.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two sides in Ghana’s top flight, and expectations are high for a thrilling but fair contest under the watchful eyes of Moro. Known for his confidence, tact, and balance of strictness with fairness, the Kumasi-based Class One referee has built a reputation for consistency and integrity.

Moro will be assisted on the lines by Seth Abletor and Bless Awadzi, with Dr. Imoro Osman serving as the fourth official. Agyeman Duah has been appointed as the Match Commissioner.

Nicknamed the People’s Referee, Moro heads into this season after officiating 25 matches during the 2024/25 campaign, including three FA Cup ties (one as center referee) and five Division One fixtures. He also managed seven Premier League matches, issued 40 yellow cards, and just a single red card, while serving as fourth official on nine occasions.

With such pedigree, fans can be assured of a well-officiated game as Moro once again proves his worth in bringing fairness, discipline, and professionalism to Ghana’s elite football stage.
