Premier league side Legon Cities took a deep sigh of relief as a 90’ strike by Joseph Amoah gave them a 2-1 win over former Fa Cup champions Fc Nania in the round of 16 tie played at the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu.

Nania had their noses in front in the 75’, when Ruben Quaye latched unto a loosed ball, as he found goalkeeper Kwame Aziz off his line.

With the maestro, Abedi Pele on the touchline, Fc Nania packed the busses and hope to kick out another Premier league side, after eliminating Hearts of Oak and Great Olympics.

Samuel Fabin and his boys had other plans and in the 82’ restored parity through Mohammed Alidu, who placed the ball beyond goalie Kweku Musah, after a beautiful sequential passing.

Nania, who were playing with a man down, after Amos Quayson had been sent off before the second half looked the better side, especially in the second half, dictating the pace of the game.
