MTN FA Cup: Moro Iddrisu to handle Debibi Utd vs Berekum Chelsea round 32 tie

It becomes the first time the Law enforcer will handle an MTN Fa cup match since becoming a Premier League Referee in 2024.

Moro Iddrisu, an efficient and tactful center referee will be at the helm of affairs when Debibi Utd hosts Berekum Chelsea for the round 32 encounter of the MTN Fa Cup on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the Debibi Presby Park.

The Kumasi based Referee has manned the fourth official post twice in the prelims On October 26 and 27, 2024 at the Ejisu Okesse Park, where King Faisal beat Adjoafuaman Fc 2-0 and at Sunyani Coronation Park where Bofoakwa Tano lost to Twimia Cities 1-3 on penalties.

Debibi United, a division one side in Zone 1, secured their round of 32 berth with a 3-0 victory over KAC Soccer Academy in the round 64. The started it off, with a 5-1 thrashing of Dormaa Nkyenkyenkye, yet at home.

For the Premier League side, they are yet to concede in this competition as they demolished 3rd tier side Boresa Fc 6-0 at the Golden City Park.

Moro, an Instructor with the Ashanti RAG will be assisted on the lines by Kofi Nyarko Bakai and Gabriel Boateng, with David Addaney as Fourth Official.

It will be a cracker of a tie, as Debibi United will be playing their 3rd straight FA Cup match at home.

Debibi lies top joint, 2nd with 20 points in Zone 1B of the Division League after 12 matches, while Berekum Chelsea lie 10th with 19 points after 16 matches.

The beauty of the game will be ensured by #ThePeoplesReferee, whose efficiency and effectiveness got him promotion to the Premier League just after a season in the Division One league.
