Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Nii Okai has stated that musicians are one of the most misunderstood people on earth.
He told Fifi Folson on Up-Close on Joy FM’s ‘The Reason is Jesus’ that Creative people are typically not very straight and formal.
According to the “Mo ko Be” hitmaker, musicians are mostly really misunderstood because “they see things in circles, squares, and not in straight lines.”
“Being one, I felt the call strongly to Minister to such people because most of the things you see them do are a reaction to how they are viewed, perceived and treated”, he said.
Nii Okai admitted that the industry is faced with several challenges, “especially with money, women, fame and all sorts of things.”
The singer recounted dealing with gifted people and the challenges they go through, stating he “reminds such person that the gift came from God and so they should not yield to pressure.”
The renowned gospel musician said, “it behoves on those who are matured to help the young artistes understand that it is okay to remain pure”.
