The Ho Municipal Directorate of National Service Scheme (NSS) in its quest to educate and enlighten final-year tertiary students on the importance of National Service, held a lecture for final-year students of the Evangelical Presbyterian Univeristy College, (EPUC) – Ho, on Friday 16th June 2023 at the Ho Kpodzi campus of the University College.
The students were taken through the essence of the National Service, the eligibility, the process of registration and the remunerations which accompany the service. The Ho Municipal Director of the scheme, Mr. Sosu, said, “it is mandatory for every tertiary student who has completed his or her studies in a particular field to render a 12-month service to the nation.”

“It is mandatory for all who are done with their studies in a tertiary institution to serve the nation for 12 months and it comes with benefits not only financial benefits but you have a practical knowledge of the working environment” he noted.
Mr Abdul-Rashid Danique, the head of the I.T at the Regional office, took participants through the online registration process and admonished participants to be honest enough in providing true and adequate information about themselves during the online registration process, as false information may lead to regrettable consequences in the future.
The event had about seventy-five (75) final-year students of the university college in attendance.
Also present was the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Ms Vivian Akoto, the Assistant Registrar (Academics) Ms Bridggette Nuhoho, the President of the SRC, Romio Kofi Dotse Mawufemor, and the Vice President of the SRC, Festus Agboka Senyo.
