A colourful ceremony was held last Saturday at Ngleshie Lafaa to mark the end of this year’s Homowo celebrations. The festivities featured drumming, dancing, traditional rituals and the sprinkling of Kpoikpoi.
Lafaa Mantse, Nii Ayi Okufrubour led his people in performing the age-old rites at Lafaa before proceeding through some principal streets in the area.
Speaking to the media, Nii Ayi Okufrubour said that it is high time they come together as Gas than allowing others to sow the seed of constant strife in Greater Accra.
According to him, people even wrote letters to the security agencies to halt the celebrations in his community and such practice will not benefit anyone, rather it will certainly go against the very people in Ngleshie and therefore calling on everyone to allow peace to prevail.
“When we come together as one family, we can address our basic needs and build lasting development not only for households but entire the Ngleshie community as a whole,” he noted.
