Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has urged Ghanaians to pay their taxes to enable government complete its projects.
He said the non-payment of taxes makes the completion of Government of Ghana (GOG) projects difficult.
He was speaking to government’s Agenda 111 initiative, which is aimed at building 111 district hospitals across the country.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayiribi constituency said completing all the projects will require a collective effort which includes the payment of taxes.
According to him, Ghanaians cannot avoid taxes and expect the government to be able to construct roads or other projects in their regions.
