Rustum, the Ho based center man has been appointed to officiate the betPawa Premier league game between Bibiani Gold Stars and Accra Lions on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Duns Park in Bibiani.
The match becomes his 14th premier league game this season, in addition to 26 others in the previous seasons.
The match day 34 will be the Marketer’s second time at center at the Duns Park and the second time officiating Gold Stars versus Accra Lions. He was at the center when Gold Stars defeated Accra Lions 2-0 on November 28, 2021, a week 5 fixture, which was his 16th premier league match last season.
Rustum, a morning show host at the HTU’s Volta Premier, 98.1 Fm in Ho, was at the helm of affairs when Accra Lions lost their Match Day game this season, 1-0 to debutants Kotoku Royals at the Cape Coast Stadium on September 11, 2022. It was his 27th Premier league match.
Rustum will be aided on the lines by Peter Dawsa and Timuah Baah Ali and at the fourth post by Mohammed Misbaw, while Samuel Gyasi commissions the match.
Gold Stars lies 5th with 48points, while Accra Lions occupy the 13th spot with 44 points. The two sides have met 3 times and have a win each, with 1 draw (2-2) game which was the first round this season.
