Referee Rustum Gameli Senorgbe will officiate the outstanding match day 2 of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman Fc at the Obuasi Len clay Stadium, today, Wednesday October 2, 2024.
The game which was to be originally played on September 15, was postponed due to Nsoatreman’s CAF Confederation Cup engagement.
It becomes Rustum’s 58th Premier League match and the very first time he will officiate a match at the Len Clay Stadium, as he has manned 4th official duties in all 3 times he has been at the venue.
The astute Center man will be flagged by Peter Dawsa and Isaac Doudu, with Nathan Anafo as 4th. Alhassan Seidu Seini will Commission the match scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
Rustum will be handling his 4th Kotoko home match, with the first; being a 1-1 with Bechem Utd on October 29, 2023, a Week 7 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium and the last, a 2-0 win against Hearts of Oak on May 26, 2024.
It will however be his 3rd away match of Nsoatreman, with the last 2 being a 1-1 against Dreams on October 11, 2023 and a 2-1 loss to Accra Lions at the WAFA Park on December 18, 2023.
Kotoko currently sits 6th with 5 points, while Nsoatreman occupy the 15th spot with 3 points from 2 matches. Nsoatreman has an upper hand in their last 5 matches head-to-head, winning 2 (a double last season), 2 draws and just a win for Kotoko.
The SWAG recognized Referee of the Year 2022 aims at making his impact felt in all matches, while awaiting the crown with a FIFA badge. #RusRefair is the hashtag and integrity is the mission.
