As the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League ends this weekend with Week 34 matches, Class One Referee, Rustum Gameli Senorgbe has been appointed to handle the Kumasi King Faisal versus Legon Cities encounter, pegged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 19, 2022.
It is the first time Rustum will officiate King Faisal home match this season, as he officiated 2 of King Faisal’s matches last season.
There was the ‘rained off’ Saturday, July 10, 2021 match at the Ohene Ameyaw Park against Ebusua Dwarfs, which was played on the 11th July; a Week 33 match which King Faisal won 2-0.
The Ho based Broadcaster earlier last season officiated a reverse fixture of Legon Cities versus King Faisal, on February 15, 2021. The match day 14 fixture, played at the Accra Sports Stadium ended in 1-1.
With both teams needing the maximum points, King Faisal, 14th with 39 points will need it to be far away from the drop zone, while Legon Cities, 8th with 46 points, and having won once in their last 5 matches would love to wrap up on a good note.
Legon Cities beat King Faisal by a goal to nil to celebrate the Valentine’s Day on Match Day 17 and the Alhaji Grunsah’s lads expect nothing but revenge.
Rustum, a Development Enthusiasts, will be assisted by Stephen Balanguena and Isaac Asante on the lines, with Selorm Yao Bless as 4th Official.

Rustum started the season with Karela Utd versus Aduana Stars, a Week 1 which ended 1-1 at the CAM Park on October 31, 2021 and has officiated 11 matches, including the first Super Clash on February, 20, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He has also manned the 4th official post in the Premier league 7 times this season.
