Akosombo Kings Palace forward Samuel Awatsonya keeps improving upon his performances, week after week in the ongoing Access Bank Division One league.

The skillful player won his first Most Valuable Player Accolade in their 1-0 loss to Na God Fc on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Tema Stadium.

Awatsonya immensely contributed to Kings Palace wonderful play on the day top the admiration of both home and away fans.

His agility and speed, coupled with quick thinking on and off the ball, saw him standing out in the entire impressive play of the team.

Though could not find the back of the net, his touches, tackles, shots and 50/50 ball situations were much to be desired of.

The 21-year-old is able to withdraw to midfield to help win ball and also to the defense to clear balls away when the team is under pressure.

Sadly, Kings Palace lost via a penalty in the first half which separated the two sides in the matchday 5 encounter.

Kings Palace after the loss now lie 5th with 7 points while Na God is joint top with 13 points.
