The Greater Accra Sapholda Hockey League saw two stalemates in the Men’s League, while the two Master’s league played saw victories on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium.
After losing ruthlessly to Exchequers in Week 10, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Men found their rhythm back to beat Ark Men 3-2 in the opening match of the day.
GRA conceded the first goal on the 10’ when Harris Alisu hit the back of the post with much enthusiasm.

Ark Men kept their composure and went to the first quarter break with gladness. With the second quarter going goalless, GRA finally equalized 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter with a penalty corner by Luke Kofi Damalie. They went in front, 2-1 with another penalty Corner on the 50’ converted by Matthew Damalie. Two more penalty corners were utilized but before the winner, Ark Men levelled on the 56’ minute through Shaibu Ibrahim Bilal.
Just before the final whistle, Jesse Selorm Bema became the Hero for GRA Mem who sealed their 4th victory and will now 12 points but remain 3rd. Ark Men, who have given fans a great game remains top of the bottom with 2 points.

In an effort to stretch their lead at the top, Exchequers had to go through a refined Army side, who ensured they pick a point (1-1) in their encounter, the final game for the day.
It was a cagey game from beginning which saw all 3 quarters going barren and waste of chances.
Army scored a great field goal and saw themselves beating the defending league champions. Addison Abdellah put the War men in front on the 46’. As they will not afford to lose a single match, Exchequers pushed for the equalizer and were rewarded a penalty corner which was utilized by Francis Lartey Tetteh 4 minutes to the end of the game.
Exchequers are still top with 14 points, whereas Army remain 4th with 10 points.
Title contenders could not utilize the opportunity to leapfrog leaders, as they also managed a 1-1 draw game against bottom side Legonknights. Police lie 2nd with 13 points after 5 matches, and Legonknights are 7th, with 2 points.
After a tough battle from blast of the whistle till last quarter, Legonknights drew first blood with a field goal extra ordinaire on the 52’ by Ernest Osei. Tried as they may to secure their first victory, Police utilized a penalty corner on the 58’ with the stick of Charles Abbiw.
In the Masters League, Golden Sticks picked their first victory against Financiers. Financiers threw in more money but with their sticks being Golden, a single goal was all they needed to pick all 3 points from the money people. A nice field goal on the 40’ by Ibrahim Adamu was all Golden Sticks needed to amass 4 points on the league table, while Financiers remain bottom with one point.
Meanwhile, Multi Stix cruised to a 2-1 victory against Citizens International in the other Masters game played.
Citizens came guns blazing and shot themselves into the lead with a penalty corner on the 7’ by Joseph Appiah. Multi Stix responded with a Penalty Stroke by Rambo Oblitey on the 14’, just before the end of the first quarter.
Fatigue was managed throughout the rest of the game but before that, Jonathan Boye with a nice build up, got Citizens in front with a field goal on the 19’.
The win took Multi Stix top of the Masters table with 10 points, 1 away from Sapholda, while Citizens are above the bottom with 4 points.
Actions at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium returns on 2nd August with the Men and Ladies League, while teams go on first round break.
