Koforidua Semper FI shot stopper; Michael Appiah is off to a blistering 2023/24 season of the Access Bank Division One Zone 3 League.
The former Kings Palace goalie is yet to concede after 2 matches played so far in the league, as they settled for a 0-0 stalemate, away to Okwawu Utd at the Tafo Rovers Park on Match Day 1 and home against Golden Kick Fc at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Match Day 2.
At the Rovers Park, Michael was named Player of the Match as he kept his team conceding with several saves. Michael’s agility and alertness in the post on Saturday, October 7 was acknowledged by all.
He made 7 crucial saves; 2 one on one situation saves and 2 great freekick saves. Appiah was called to action again, with a long-range shot and 2 straight shots.
At the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Michael kept another clean sheet with some fine saves while he put his defense in order.
Semper FI, who had their maiden stint in the Division One league last season after qualifying from Eastern Region Division 2 finished as runners up.
They however currently lie 11th on the league log with 2 points and will next face Fc Nania at the Tema Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 22. Michael Appiah is a sure bet to be depended on to keep another clean sheet.
