Noted for his immense assistance to farmers, businessmen and women, students and unemployed youth in the area, his deep interest in sports, particularly football cannot be overlooked.

In the last couple of years, he has organised football gala competitions in some communities in Asante Akyem North with the aim of uniting and also unearthing football talents.

Currently, he is undertaking an astro turf project in Ananekrom, a village of Agogo Asante Akyem, to boost training facilities in the vicinity.

Agogo can boast of two artificial pitches at the moment but Honourable Ohene Kwame Frimpong believes there is the need to develop more standard training grounds across Asante Akyem North to facilitate football and athletes development.

“There are a lot of talents when it comes to football in Asante Akyem North. You remember Frank Osei was produced from Agogo in the early 2000. He became a national asset apart from the great impact he made for King Faisal and Kotoko.

“We still have many talents here, and we cannot allow them to go waste. Already we are helping some of them.

“If I am voted into power on December 7, I will continue to support them because helping people to live well has always been my portion” said Ohene Kwame Frimpong.
