One of the consistent Taekwondo Championships in Ghana “Marpro Open” is billed for the Accra Sports Stadium Hall on Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11, 2023.
Organised by the founder of Takoradi based Marpro Taekwondo Club, Martin Prince Oppan, the ‘MARPRO OPEN 2023 Taekwondo Championship’ will see competitions in Kyorugi for Juniors & Seniors and Breaking for ages between 6 years and 14 years.
There will be 4 weight categories for the sparring for both male and female divisions in Seniors and four as well for the Juniors. The below 14 years will compete for prizes in Skill Breaking, Height Breaking and Distance Breaking.
Registration is however closed for all events for the championship that has moved to Accra for the first time from Takoradi.
Beginning at 10am each day, there are mouth watering cash prizes for champions in each category, 1st runner ups and 2nd runner ups, apart from the Gold Medals, the Silver Medals and the Bronze Medals to be rewarded, with certificates presented to all participants.
Organisers promise to provide the best officials to ensure transparency, fair play, impartiality and overall, a successful Championships.
MARPRO Taekwondo Club, like other Clubs in Ghana is a registered club by the Ghana Taekwondo Federation and they are passionate about the development and promotion of the combat sport in Ghana.
