It was all joy, as Boso Terrific Hitters record a hundred percent performance and lifted the coveted trophy in Zone 2 of the Asuogyaman Boys U-19 Community T20 Cup on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
The final matches of the single round robin played at the Asikuma Presby School Park, had Terrific Hitters chase 49 runs in the second innings after winning toss against Anum Super Sixers. Anum, having lost to Frankadua Century Batters and Asikuma Power Hitters started well with Gabriel Ansah and Sampson Obiri but for the brilliance of Enock Darko, Emmanuel Tetteh and Emmanuel Appiah in bowling, the pace of Super Sixers reduced till they scored 48/10in 12.2 overs.
Enock Darko (3-0-5-3), Emmanuel Tetteh (3-0-10-3) and Emmanuel Appiah (2.2-0-4-3) did the magic for the Terrific Hitters while Emmanuel Boateng had a wicket maiden over, giving away 8 runs in 3 overs.
Terrific Hitters achieved the 49 runs, with 5 wickets down in 6.4 overs. It wasn’t easy for Boso as Sampson Obiri took his bowling figures tally to 6, taking 2.4-0-12-4.
Emmanuel Appiah, who also scored 21/12 was adjudged Player of the match.
Boso Terrific Hitters thus won all matches, amassing 6 points and +2.6 NRR.

In the other game, Asikuma Power Hitters finished runners up with 4 points and -0.4 NRR after their 9 wickets victory against Frankadua Century Batters.
The Century Batters scored 41/10 in 9.4 overs with Wisdom Atsu (19-17) and captain Issah Sani (15-8) giving a good account of themselves in a great partnership in the middle order.
Godsway Fiave, the eventual Player of the Match, was phenomenal in his bowling figures, achieving 3.4-1-7-6, while David Kende took 3-0-9-2.
The Power Hitters scored 42/1 in 4.2 overs, with Ishmael Horgli (20-15) and Richmond Ofei (17-12).
With the loss, Frankadua Century Batters finished 3rd place with 2 points and -1.8 NRR, while Anum Super Sixers went back sad without any point and -1.2 NRR.
