Alpha Cricket Club capped off a flawless campaign in the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA) Division One T20 League, securing their seventh consecutive victory with a dominant eight-wicket win over Devnik United.
Winning the toss, Alpha chose to field first, leveraging their strong chasing ability. Despite Devnik United’s efforts, they were restricted to 131/4, with Preetham Anchan leading their charge with 41 runs off 29 balls before being run out by wicketkeeper Frank Baaleri in the 19.2 over. Bharani Kumar further bolstered Alpha’s defense, claiming two wickets while conceding only 13 runs.
With consistent backing from sponsors such as Golden Dragon Casino-Osu, Tiretrendz, Binatone, and Indomie, Alpha delivered an exceptional batting performance in the second innings. Though opener Frank Baaleri was dismissed for 8 (14) on the 4.1 over by Godfred Bakiweyem, his partner, young talent Aris, showcased resilience with an impressive 36 (34), including six boundaries—one six and five fours.

Bharani Kumar Majji, coming in at number three, remained unbeaten with 48* (40), steering Alpha to their target in 16.1 overs alongside Halim Khan, who contributed 11* (9). Bharani’s outstanding all-round performance earned him his fifth Player of the Match accolade.
Bharani dominated the league, finishing as the top run-scorer with 251 runs and leading the bowling chart with 16 wickets. His exceptional performances secured him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title in Qualifier B, amassing 55.49 points, significantly ahead of his closest competitors.
Alpha Cricket Club’s impeccable record saw them top the Qualifier B standings with 14 points, making them strong contenders for the upcoming Premier League season.
