Captain of Legon Cities Fc, Frank Akoto says, they lost focus in their Ghana Premier League match day 3 encounter against debutants Vision Fc at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, on Saturday, September 20, 2024.
Legon Cities had their noses in front through Ishmael Amoah 4 minutes into the second half after a goalless first half.
It however looked like Fabin’s boys were heading home with all 3 points, until the 88’ strike by Emmanuel Kyei Baffour from a beautiful build up that brought Vision Fc on level pegging.
Legon Cities, having lost their first 2 matches of the 2024/25 season, needed nothing but a win to appease their fans.
Akoto, who promised to deliver in their match day 3 encounter in a prematch interview, nevertheless appreciated the draw, adding, they did not underate Vision Fc.
“We fought hard but we did not keep our focus to end. We had chances that we should bury them but yeah, that is football and an away draw is better than defeat.”
“We did not under rate Vision Fc. We went in with 100% mentality for the 3 points but as football is, you can’t always predict the results. We move on to the next game” He told TalksenseSports
Legon Cities lost their first match, 2-1 Gold Stars at the Duns Park in Bibiani before losing at home 1-0 to Medeama against Sc at the Legon Stadium. They will welcome Karela Fc at the Legon Stadium for Match Day 4, while Vision Fc
Legon Cities will need to push themselves up, as they languish at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League.
