The Ghana National Baseball League saw week 2 actions at the Koshien Baseball field at Labone where Shai Osudoku Hawks recorded a 10-2 win against Tema Giant Hitters on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The Giant Hitters who lost the opening game against Tema Tigers scored their 2 successful base runs by Philip Okain and Yussif Armoh in the top of the 3rd innings, while the Hawks scored 1.
The Hawks made successful base runs in every innings, with the likes of Kweku Alaglo and Maxwell Owusu completing their base runs in the 1st, 2nd and 4 innings respectively.
Joshua Nyamede and Joseph Awudi kept Hawks score at 4 in the first innings, as they completed 1 run each. Rans Ohene Appiah and Favour Afenvor added to Kweku’s run to make it 3 in the top of the 3rd innings. Maxwell and Joshua were the only players to have completed their runs in the 4th innings to pick their first 3 points and lie 2nd on the table.
Maxwell Owusu pitched for the Hawks in their victory, while Richison, Philip Ochire and Sherif Mohammed were the pitchers for Tema Giants.
Earlier however, Tema Tigers recorded their second victory against Labadi Dodgers with same 10-2 scores.
Ebenezer Tetteh in the top of the 3rd innings and Francis Okoe in the 5th innings got the 2 runs for La Dodgers. Tema Tigers remained consistent, making 6 perfect runs in the bottom of the 1st innings, with Solomon Addison, Samuel Baah, Daniel Atiemo, Kemuel Delali, Kwaku Fosu and Desmond Duodu completing all bases. Two more from the 3rd and fourth innings, completed another thrashing for the Tigers, while Melchizedek added his name to the scoresheet.
Henry Nikoi expertly pitched wonderful balls for Tema Tigers, preventing LD from hitting.
The table therefore has Tema Tigers top with 6 points with Shai Osudoku Hawks 2nd with 3 points. La Dodgers are 3rd with no point and Tema Giants lie bottom with no point after 2 matches.
Week 3 actions will be on July 26, 2025 at the Koshien Baseball field at Labone.
