Salt n Pepper Cricket Club finally tasted victory in the ongoing Ghana Cricket Division One League, defeating BGC by 33 runs at the Achimota Cricket Oval A on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
In the morning fixture, Salt n Pepper posted a total of 117 runs, led by captain Mukesh Mohan with an impressive 32 (33). Openers Junaid Ahmed and Elisha Frimpong gave a calm but confident start before BGC captain Devender Singh broke their partnership in the 5th over, dismissing Junaid at 38/0.

Mukesh built solid partnerships with Elisha and Sree before both fell, and he was later dismissed in the 14th over after steering his side to 85 runs. The tail end — featuring Emmanuel Kemevor, Lee Nyarko, Sajeev Sundaresan Nair, and Kofi Bagabena — helped Salt n Pepper close at 117/7.
BGC, eager to bounce back from their previous defeat to Rana Motors, struggled early in their chase. Despite Rohit Malik finding a few boundaries, Elisha Frimpong’s bowling spell and a tight defense by Salt n Pepper made scoring difficult. The side managed only 84/9, with Mukesh Mohan, Bernard Addo, and Junaid Ahmed picking two wickets each.
Salt n Pepper won by 33 runs, with Mukesh Mohan deservedly named Player of the Match. The win lifts them to 6th place with 2 points from three matches, while BGC drops to 3rd with 6 points after five games.

Later in the afternoon, Gujarat Tridents dominated Evolve Cricket Club, sealing a 5-wicket win to move up the table.
Evolve’s batting line collapsed early, with captain Anil Nawalekar, Mark Bawa, and Ashok Bhera all gone by the 4th over at just 14 runs. Samson Kwesi Awe Awiah delivered a fiery spell, claiming 4 wickets for 12 runs in four overs, supported by Arumugam Venkatesh and Sam Michael Merbin, who added 3 more. Evolve were bowled out for 68 runs in 17.2 overs.

In response, Gujarat Tridents made 69/5 in 9.4 overs, with Raman Madhu and Jiyath Mohamed setting the pace early. Captain Venkatesh came in to steady the innings and finish the chase. Samson Kwesi Awe Awiah was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling.

The results see Evolve drop to 2nd place with 6 points, while Gujarat Tridents sit 4th with 4 points.
Meanwhile, in Division Two action on Oval B, Hurricanes Cricket Club outclassed Swami Sports Club, who remain winless after four games.

Swami, powered by Tirthank Shirty (33 off 35) and Navin Rabadiya (33 off 46), managed only 93/10 in 19.5 overs, as the Hurricanes’ bowling unit of Pankaj Gaur (3/9), Harish Thakur (3/11), and Viprendra Partap (3/10) tore through their batting order.
In reply, Harish Thakur continued his brilliance, scoring 51 (40) to guide Hurricanes to 95/3 in 13.1 overs, sealing a 7-wicket win and earning his second consecutive Man of the Match award.
Hurricanes now sit 5th with 4 points, trailing Devnik United (8 points) and Defenders (6 points), while Swami Sports Club remains at the bottom with no points.
The Ghana Cricket League continues next Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Achimota Cricket Ovals, with more thrilling matches expected.
