The young lads of Accra Tulips Cricket Club cruised to a jubilant mood, even after 2 matches on Saturday, January 17, 2026, as they defeated both Accra Daisies in the semifinal and then beat Accra Lilies in the finals of the Ghana Cricket Association Women’s T20 League in Greater Accra.
Beginning with the 1-wicket victory over Accra Daisies, the brilliant figures of Daisies’ Christiana Nyameke, 3 wickets taken and giving away 30 runs, could not stop the Tulips, as Christiana Manu stood firm, scoring 24(29) to push her team to first glory.
The Daisies had scored 113/8, after Accra Tulips won the toss and chose to field first. Manu was the hero of the day, as the Daisies needed wickets to pick a spot in the final, while the Tulips also needed to relax and take singles. The Tulips lost 3 wickets in the 14th over, courtesy Nyameke, as they stood at 104/8.
One more wicket fell in the 15th over, but it was a little too late for the Daisies to pick the final spot, as the Tulips scored 116/9 in 15.3 overs.

Christian Nyameke, although she lost the match, was adjudged the player of the match with her figures in the second innings. Captain of the Tulips, Rebecca Adotei, had also earlier taken 2 wickets and given away 14 runs in the 100-minute each innings semis.
In the final, however, the Tulips did not have to do much work in the second innings, as they had won the game in the first; dismissing and dislodging the Accra Lilies’ batting order, and limiting them to 55/10 in 13.1 overs after they won the toss again and chose to field.
The show of fall of wickets began when the eventual player of the match, Elizabeth Ama Dokuvi, took the ball in the second over, dismissing Joycelyn Akakpo on the 1.3 over.
Elizabeth and Captain Rebecca Adotei had 3 spells and together dismissed 4 wickets, when the Lilies had scored 19 runs, ending the power play. Daniella Naa Adotei continued to limit the run in the 7th over and got the 5th wicket, a sweet bowled out delivery on the captain and the life line of the Accra Lilies Cricket Club, Jaqueline Kokam.
Angel Affum Danso asked for the ball, wanting to be part of the wicket part,y and yes, she got out Esther Bakiweyem on the 7.3 over, with a clean bowled. By the 10th over, Accra Lilies were 40 runs for 7 wickets, and then later picked up 15 more runs and lost 3 more wickets to wrap the innings up.
In an attempt to replicate the same treatment meted out to them, Accra Lilies managed to dismiss 5 wickets, while their nemesis cruised to a 5-wicket victory, having scored 56 runs in 8.5 overs.

Big hitter and life line, captain Rebecca Adotei was caught, as her shot, set for the boundary, was beautifully caught by Jemima Apisah, after Esther Bakiweyem had gotten Christiana Manu out on the 3rd ball.
It was becoming like a revenge, but the Tulips stood their ground, and although they lost 3 more wickets.
Two straight wins at the same venue in elegance, and the Accra Tulips Cricket Club jubilated in fashion.
Awarding the individual brilliance for the 3-club, 4-week league, Jacqueline Kokam of Accra Lilies was adjudged the best batter with 72 runs scored from 5 innings. Captain of champions, Accra Tulips, walked away with the best bowler accolade, having taken a total of 12 wickets from 6 innings.
Clinton Baah of Accra Lilies was the best fielder with 4 dismissals, whereas Rebecca grabbed the double, the most valuable player accolade, with 30.2 points gathered.
The Women’s League was organised to strengthen the effectiveness of the girls ahead of future tournaments, with selection into the national team imminent.
