The Achimota Cricket Ovals were buzzing with action on Sunday, November 16, 2025, as all three tiers of the Ghana Cricket Association leagues served exciting performances.
The standout moment came from Division One, where Rana Motors staged a remarkable fight to defeat Carel Super Kings (CSK) on Oval A.
Division One: Rana Motors overpower CSK in dramatic fashion

Rana Motors endured a difficult start after being sent in to bat. Opener Richmond Baaleri Jamal fell early at 0.3 overs, caught at mid-off after hitting a boundary from Vincent Ateak’s delivery. With wickets tumbling quickly, Rana Motors struggled to 26/4 by the end of the powerplay.

CSK bowlers were exceptional, with
- Joseph Aboagye: 3.5-0-12-3
- Joseph Adotei: 4.0-0-15-2
- Selvaraj Chokalingam (c): 4.0-0-12-2
Rana Motors were eventually bowled out for 67/10 in 19.5 overs, setting up what seemed like a comfortable chase for CSK.

But the narrative flipped spectacularly in the second innings. Richmond Baaleri Jamal, after a disappointing outing with the bat, delivered a masterclass with the ball — a true “from villain to hero” moment. He tore through CSK’s lineup with figures of 2.5-0-9-5, earning him the Player of the Match award.

CSK collapsed for 55/10 in 13.4 overs, with no batter reaching double figures — same as Rana Motors. The 12-run win lifts Rana Motors to 4th with 6 points, while CSK remain winless after four matches.
Division Two: Devnik United dominate; Defenders destroy Bangla Tigers

Devnik United eased past Champions United on Oval A in the morning, securing a massive 164-run victory to stay top of the Division Two table with 10 points from 5 matches.
Devnik posted 196/6, led by a destructive knock from Sukh Sangu, who scored 86(32) with 6 sixes and 7 fours, earning Player of the Match.
Sethu Rajeev contributed with 4.0-0-30-2.

Champions United never found momentum, bowled out for 32/10 in 17.1 overs.
Devnik bowlers who impressed include:
- Akshay Chavan: 3.0-0-9-2
- Suraj Poojary: 4.0-3-2-2
- Preetham Anchan: 4.0-0-6-3
Champions United are now 5th with 4 points.

On Oval B, Defenders delivered one of the performances of the season, thrashing Bangla Tigers in a very short match.
Sachin produced magical bowling figures of 3.3-0-11-7, including a hat-trick from overs 8.1 to 8.3, to win Player of the Match.

Bangla Tigers were dismissed for 22/10 in 8.3 overs, and although captain Ah Shahed responded with 2.0-0-10-3, Defenders chased down the target in just 3.1 overs, scoring 28/3 to seal a 7-wicket win.
Defenders sit 2nd with 6 points, while Bangla Tigers follow closely in 3rd, also with 6 points.

Division Three: Achimota Cricket Club claim first win

In the third-tier fixture on Oval B in the afternoon, Achimota Cricket Club outplayed Panjab Warriors, winning by 7 wickets.
Panjab Warriors posted 72/10 in 17.2 overs, with Thomas Bakiweyem, Obed Harvey, and Francis Gbey all taking 2 wickets each.

Achimota CC chased the target in 14 overs, losing only 3 wickets, to record their first win in two matches. They now sit 2nd with 2 points, two behind leaders Royal King Punjab, while Panjab Warriors remain bottom without a point.
